Special Request Apron

Here is an apron I made for Rob M. He requested an apron for one of his co-workers who has been a long time employee at Paul's Pipe Shop in downtown Flint. I was given a tour of the shop and let me tell you, that place has a whole lot of history. If you ever make it down there you have to check out the museum upstairs. It's pretty amazing.

Still Sewing

Hello Everybody! I've been a busy gal with my sewing. That bag of aprons to be sewn has been completed. I couldn't tell you how many there were because each time someone seen a finish apron they asked to see what else I had and I gladly showed them. I also had a few special request. By the time the craft show came around I only had about a dozen aprons to sell.

The big craft show I was getting ready for was the Flint Handmade Spring Craft Market that took place on May 5, 2012 at the Masonic Temple in downtown Flint. It was great. Had a lot of fun.

My next show I am getting ready for is the second annual Craft City at the Buckham Alley Fest in downtown Flint on Saturday, July 14th. Can't wait. In the mean time I am getting ready for it. To start out with is the aprons of course.

In the picture is my son with me (can't believe he is taller than me) at the Spring Craft Market. He was my set up helper the night before.

Again, wish all this sewing and crafting was my real full time job. While working at my "real" job (with crazy retail hours) I can't wait to get home so I can start sewing. Then when I get home I'm usually up till 2 or 3 in the morning and all the while I'm sewing I'm just so happy. No matter how tired I get.

Over this last weekend I actually got three days off in a row and took it easy. By taking it easy I mean only sewing two aprons a day.

Okay enough with my rambling. Got home from work today and logged into computer to apply to a craft show who's deadline to apply is tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.
